Breathing Frequency is a free resonance frequency breathing test and a paced breathing timer. It exists because the test in Leah Lagos's Heart Breath Mind and in the Lehrer and Vaschillo research needs a pacer that steps through the rates and asks the right question after each one, and the pacers online either do not do that or hide it behind an app subscription. Here the protocol is on the page, the sources are listed, and the tool runs in your browser.
Who runs it
Breathing Frequency is published by Galena Hall, a small independent publisher of reference and tool websites. We are not clinicians. The site reports what named studies found and does not give medical advice; the people who should talk to a clinician before slow-breathing practice are listed on every tool page.
How it is funded
The tools are free and carry no advertising while you are breathing. The rest screens between test rates and the article pages may carry advertising in future. The books page uses Amazon affiliate links, marked as such. We have no relationship with any app, device or course, and take no payment for placement.
Accuracy
Every factual statement on the site names its source, and the timing code is public with automated tests. If a source is misread, a number is wrong, or a claim goes beyond what its study supports, tell us and we will fix it.
Privacy in one line
Everything runs in your browser. Your ratings and any HRV figures stay on your device. Details in the privacy policy.
